I told 'em:

If you've ever wondered what I do outside my teaching life, here's one. I don't just wake up on a Sunday morning and decide to run 26.2 miles. I've dedicated months of training. And if you live just a few blocks from this route, you know I'd appreciate it. I appreciate support the same way you do in your plays, performances, and games. But it isn't like a baseball game where I come out and say "ey, there's Abraham, Cesar, Lei and Adofo. Doope!" Marathon watching ain't really a spectator sport. You'd probably wait for awhile and wonder "hmm, did Mr. G already pass?" and if you do catch me, it'd probably last for but 30 seconds. But, again, if you can make it, I'd love it.

Lemme know if you're interested.
