and through it all,
stand out reasons to be happy:

cousin just sent in her student intent to register.
fam in berkeley! wooo!

one of my student's halim was tellin' me,
about my lesson plan - "man, that was fun"
and even more happy i felt
when he was getting everything.
just a week ago, that same halim
was saying, "man, i just ain't good at math"
from not getting subtraction,
to understanding long division.
now that... feels good.

at castlemont, i helped a kid out w/ his
limiting reactant chemistry problems.
felt good to help someone understand something.
felt good to know i know that shit myself.

laker playoff game tomorrow.
always happy when those are going on.

never forget, there's always a reason to be happy.
isn't that air you breath? be happy for at least that.

and for me, there's one big reason for me to be happy everyday =)
