Arriving home this past weekend, my mom slapped down a packet of papers. "You got this from the mail," she said. Every one looked up at me and said: "welcome to the real world." I began to sift through all the benefit forms. Kaiser, delta dental, VSP, dismememberment insurance... terms that once seemed too foreign since they were way too adult for me, I'd always call home and let me my mom handle all that crap. But now it's here, and it's all here for me.
I still feel like a kid, but it's undeniable that this next year of my life will introduce to me a whole new way of life than the one I've been used to these past 22.
PS. Thanks to all who sent their regards on my birthday. I very much appreciate it.
