I've been saying it for a month now, and I'll hold onto it all season:
LAKERS WILL WIN THE PACIFIC THIS SEASON.
... and possibly more.
Bynum is playing like an all-star, Kobe's a leader, Sasha's havin' monster 4th quarters, Trevor's makin' posters, the pressure's off Odom, Farmar's contributing nightly, Kwame's even lookin' good.
No bench is stronger. No team in the NBA has played a tougher schedule thus far. And yet, you find LA 1 1/2 games from #1 IN THE [deep] WEST, hot off a ROAD WIN against NO. They've won 14 of their last 17. Of those 3 losses, 2 should've been wins.
I'm telling you. Lakers will win the Pacific! [and I'm willing to put money on that.]
